There was then laughter, thrill, and tears. There is now the same emotion in all of us. There’s passion… pride… and prejudice, when it comes to a sport. Oh well… I still remember the first time I watched a football match. I don’t recall it though. I knew it was a match where my grandfather and his friends stood all night awake, just to watch it.
It was back in 1986. I was small, but not too small to ignore the events that took place around. There were then blue and yellow jerseys. Half of them supported yellow, and the rest, blue. Of course, who’d force to forget the fiery skills that Pele and Maradona portrayed? I support the later. He weaved through six England players
to get his hands on that cup. Oh well… Diego Maradona is timeless…
Today, the world has progressed. Players are more skilled. The tactics vary. You may have your own favorite team. It’s more glamorous. We all get ourselves glued to the big screen, to see our favorite teams playing.
It’s time… Whom do you support? Whom do you want to lift the golden cup? I always supported Argentina. The most underrated team of the year, despite the fact they have got the best player as in Messi with them. Who really cares when we pine for the boots to kick off the balls into the post? Football is larger than life to many. This world cup is very special.
The most powerful team Spain…
The most admired team Brazil… The stylish England team… The most
skilled Argentineans’…
The spark is on… It’s time…
And, hey…before I end this note… I’ve got a question to ask…
So, whom do you support?

Abhi here
I think they have hired her for every world cup and she is getting salary. I support 5 teams. Lets see who win.
I support for Brazil :)
Well, I am not a big fan of football. But certainly this looks to be an exciting event...Fifa 2010 world cup. Though I am not a football addict, I still love this game for the passion it involves and the excitement it generates. I love football but not as much as Cricket. But yes, I am looking forward to this world cup. Hope my favorite team - Brazil- raises to the top and proves it supremacy again just like it has been doing in the past world cups. hmmm..I am hoping to see final between England and Brazil. Hopefully..I should be able to see these two super teams clash with each other. Lets see...
Argentina
Surely Argentina
Spain all the way!!!
