The Homemakers of West Bengal Donning New Hats!

Posted in

It’s a beautiful Monday morning here. Hubby just left for an early morning meeting, the little one happily enjoying the morning siesta. Holding on to my morning cuppa I thought this is the apt time to call a friend of mine in India. She’s a home-maker, a mother of two. She stays with her family in a remote part of West Bengal. We haven’t met for years now but every time we catch up on phone its with the same zeal and fervor that we exchange stories of our lives. This time the excitement was much more than expected.

The Vagina Fairologues

I don’t understand what the big drama is about vaginas. Women all over the world will tell you that we pay a lot of attention to all aspects of our body but very little to our vaginas. All of a sudden, we’ve put the Indian women's vagina under the microscope.

Who cares? It’s High Time That We Do

How many of us have heard of the sporting event Paralympics? Unfortunately, not many.It is indeed regrettable that while the media goes on an overdrive trying to cover events like IPL, there is almost negligible space awarded for games which focus on the sporting finesse of physically challenged athletes.
With its pioneering efforts, Civilian Welfare Foundation (non-government and non- profit venture) hopes to spread the good word around and in turn bring in the much needed funds to sustain and keep these brave athletes enthused.
